WD Scorpio Black WD5000BPKT is a high-performance 2.5-inch laptop hard drive with 500 GB capacity, 7200 RPM speed, 16 MB cache, and a SATA II (3 Gb/s) interface. Thanks to its higher spindle speed, it delivers better performance than typical 5400 RPM notebook drives and achieves sustained transfer speeds of around 100 MB/s. The drive uses conventional 512 B sectors and PMR technology, making it suitable for laptops, external enclosures, or older workstations.
